Lambert, Scout Executive of the National Capital Area Council during a luncheon ceremony at the Renaissance Washington. Serving as co-chairmen for the luncheon were Dr. David K. Rehr, President and CEO of the National Association of Broadcasters, and Dan Glickman, Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America. During the ceremony, Commissioner Tate talked about the influence scouting had on her son Will, a former Boy Scout who reached the rank of Eagle Scout. “I wanted to note a few of the gifts you gave my son and recognize they are part of the Boy Scout way of life that travels far beyond the scouting years into adulthood….” The Communications Good Scout Award is presented annually to leaders in the communications field who practice the ideas of the scout oath and law in their daily lives. Commissioner Tate is very proud to be the first female recipient of this award.
