MARTIN ANNOUNCES ACTING LEGAL ADVISOR, MEDIA ISSUES AND ACTING LEGAL ADVISOR, WIRELINE ISSUES Washington, DC - Today, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Kevin J. Martin announced that Elizabeth Andrion is serving as his Acting Legal Advisor for Media Issues and Amy Bender is serving as his Acting Legal Advisor for Wireline Issues. Ms. Andrion most recently served as Deputy Chief of the Office of Strategic Planning and Policy Analysis. She received a law degree from UC Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law, a master's degree from USC's Annenberg School for Communication, and a bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley. Ms. Bender most recently served as Legal Counsel to the Chief of the Wireline Competition Bureau. Previously, Ms. Bender served as Special Counsel in the Wireline Competition Bureau’s Telecommunications Access Policy Division and as an Attorney Advisor in the Wireline Competition Bureau’s Front Office. Prior to joining the Commission, Ms. Bender worked as a telecommunications associate at Wiley Rein & Fielding LLP. Ms. Bender received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Rice University and her J.D. from Harvard Law School. FCC Chairman Kevin Martin said, “I am very grateful to have Elizabeth and Amy joining my staff.
