Statistical Findings · Facilities-based and facilities-resale traffic together increased 3.3% from 70.1 billion minutes in 2005 to 72.4 billion minutes in 2006. For purposes of categorizing traffic, a facilities-based carrier provides service using its own international transmission facilities, while a facilities-resale carrier provides service utilizing international circuits leased from other reporting international carriers. · U.S. billed revenues for international telephone, private line and other miscellaneous services decreased 0.6% from 2005 to 2006. The total number of carriers reporting resale services increased 10.6% from 838 in 2005 to 927 in 2006.
