FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION Jeffrey S. Cohen Senior Legal Counsel Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau Federal Communications Commission 2 STATEMENT OF COMMISSIONER DEBORAH TAYLOR TATE In the Matter of Amendment of Section 90.20(e)(6) of the Commission’s Rules, WT Docket No. 06- 142, RM-11135 This Report and Order is just the type of public interest item that gets little attention but has the potential to do much good. The item adopted today will enable public safety personnel to expand upon current technology that allows them to find stolen cars and, with this new policy, also find persons at risk, such as autistic children and patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. I am always interested in furthering the tools available to our public safety community and am, therefore, pleased to support today’s item.
