The first in a series of these sessions will be hosted by PSHSB on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the Commission Meeting Room (TW-C305). Laurie Flaherty, Program Analyst, Office of Emergency Medical Services, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, will be the first expert speaker and will discuss the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT’s) role in 9-1-1 issues. Ms. Flaherty presentation will specifically focus on the work of the Research and Innovative Technologies Administration and recent developments in Next Generation 9-1-1. Following her presentation, Ms. Flaherty will answer questions from the audience. The Speakers Series will be open to the public; admittance however will be limited to the seating available.
