October 14, 2008 FCC Announces Details for October Open Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee on Pediatric Obesity Issues The Federal Communications Commission’s October Open Meeting will be an En Banc hearing held at Langford Auditorium (located at Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital) on the campus of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday, October 15, 2008. The Commission will listen to witnesses discussing a host of issues surrounding childhood obesity including the impact and role media serve in the area of children's health, the causes of pediatric obesity, and ways to increase awareness of and promote healthy lifestyles among children and teens.
