STATEMENT BY FCC COMMISSIONER MICHAEL J. COPPS ON APPOINTMENT 
OF PAUL MARGIE AND TOM NAVIN AS CO-CHAIRS OF THE FCC ADVISORY 
COMMITTEE TO THE 2011 WORLD RADIOCOMMUNICATION CONFERENCE
These are two absolutely stellar appointments.  I already feel energized about the next 
WRC knowing that Paul Margie and Tom Navin are spearheading our country’s preparations.  I 
quickly came to appreciate Paul’s brilliant mind and keen public-spiritedness when he worked as 
a member of my staff. I also had many opportunities to work with Tom when he headed the 
FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau and I greatly admired the intelligence and commitment he 
brought to his work.  
I congratulate Chairman Martin on these two outstanding appointments.
