On February 19, 2009, the Policy Branch granted, with conditions, special temporary authority to Sirius XM Radio Inc. to operate two terrestrial repeaters, each with an Effective Isotropically Radiated Power (EIRP) of up to 800 watts (average) in Kokomo, Indiana, at the Delphi Corporation manufacturing facility, for a period of 60 days, commencing on March 17, 2009. One of the repeaters will operate in the 2320-2332.5 MHz frequency band for use on the Sirius network and the other repeater will operate in the 2332.5-2345 MHz frequency band for use on the XM network. These repeaters will replace an existing, previously authorized, Sirius repeater.
