ADELSTEIN ANNOUNCES STAFF CHANGE Washington, DC – FCC Commissioner Jonathan S. Adelstein announced today that Scott Bergmann, the Commissioner’s Senior Legal Advisor, will be leaving the Federal Communications Commission to join CTIA -- the Wireless Association. Commissioner Adelstein said of the announcement: “I am fortunate to have benefited from Scott’s considerable expertise, superb judgment, integrity and keen intellect for the past five years. Through some of the most complex and challenging proceedings before the Commission, I’ve relied on his deep understanding of the issues, his extraordinary knowledge of telecommunications law, his skill at working with a broad array of stakeholders to shape policy. I will miss his counsel greatly, but look forward to witnessing his continued contributions in the field of telecommunications.” Mr. Bergmann advised Commissioner Adelstein on a broad range of issues including broadband, universal service, wireline competition, and access for persons with disabilities. Before joining Commissioner Adelstein’s office, Mr. Bergmann served as Legal Counsel to the Chief of the Wireline Competition Bureau.
