STATEMENT OF COMMISSIONER JONATHAN ADELSTEIN 
ON PRESIDENT OBAMA’S INTENT TO NOMINATE 
MIGNON CLYBURN AS FCC COMMISSIONER 
Washington, D.C. – In response to the announcement from President Obama on his intent to 
nominate Mignon Clyburn to serve as FCC Commissioner, Commissioner Jonathan Adelstein 
made the following statement:  “I congratulate Commissioner Clyburn on the White House 
announcement that President Obama intends to nominate her as FCC Commissioner.  Her long 
tenure on the South Carolina Public Service Commission as well as her leadership participation 
in several other organizations, including the National Association of Regulatory Utility 
Commissioners, will enable her to make an enormous contribution on the Commission.  I 
commend her for her willingness to continue her distinguished career in public service and look 
forward to her continued success.”
