FCC TO RECEIVE CHAIRMAN’S AWARD 
FOR FEDERAL ACHIEVEMENT IN HISTORIC PRESERVATION 
FROM ADVISORY COUNCIL ON HISTORIC PRESERVATION
Washington, D.C. – FCC Acting Chairman Michael Copps will accept on behalf of the 
FCC the Chairman’s Award for Federal Achievement in Historic Preservation being presented 
by the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP). 
The award, to be presented at ACHP’s 2009 quarterly business meeting this week, is 
being given to the FCC for its response and efforts in complying with provisions of the National 
Historic Preservation Act in regard to the complex issue of telecommunications facilities. 
ACHP Chairman John L. Nau, III, will present the award to FCC Acting Chairman 
Copps at 9:00 a.m., Thursday May 14, 2009, in Room M-09, Old Post Office Building, 1100 
Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, D.C.
