EchoStar Satellite Operating LLC filed an application to modify its Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) authorization for the EchoStar 5 satellite. EchoStar requests authority to relocate the EchoStar 5 satellite from the 148° W.L. orbital location to the 147.925° W.L. orbital location. The EchoStar 5 satellite will continue to operate on DBS channels 1-32 in the 12.2-12.7 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 17.3-17.8 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands, as set forth in its initial authorization.
