POLICY BRANCH INFORMATION
The applications listed below have been found, upon initial review, to be acceptable for filing.  The Commission
reserves the right to return any of the applications if, upon further examination, it is determined the application is not in
conformance with the Commission's rules or its policies.  Consideration of each satellite application in this Public
Notice may depend on the Commission's action on another satellite application earlier in the queue.  Petitions,
oppositions and other pleadings filed in response to this notice should conform to Section 25.154 of the Commission's
rules, unless otherwise noted.  47 C.F.R. § 25.154.

PanAmSat Licensee Corp.
PanAmSat Licensee Corporation (PanAmSat) requests authority to cease operations at the 76.85° W.L. orbital location for more than 90 days. See
47 C.F.R. § 25.161(c).  PanAmSat is authorized to operate the Galaxy 4R satellite at the 76.85° W.L. orbital location using C-band (3.7-4.2 GHz
and 5.925-6.425 GHz) and Ku-band (11.7-12.2 GHz and 14.0-14.5 GHz) frequencies.  The Galaxy 4R satellite was recently de-orbited due to
technical issues.  PanAmSat anticipates relocating the Galaxy 11 satellite (Call Sign: S2253) to that orbital location in the first quarter of 2011.

Sirius XM Radio Inc. requests Special Temporary Authority for a period of 180 days to operate six terrestrial repeaters with an effective
isotropically radiated power (EIRP) of up to 2000 watts at specified locations throughout the United States.  Sirius XM proposes to operate these
repeaters in the 2320-2345 MHz frequency band allocated exclusively to the use of the Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service (SDARS).
