Iridium Holdings LLC, Iridium Carrier Holdings LLC and GHL Acquisition Corp.
(GHQ) have filed a series ofapplications pursuant to sections 214 and 31 O(d) ofthe
Communications Act of 1934, as amended seeking approval ofthe transfer ofcontrol ofIridium
Carrier Services LLC, Iridium Satellite LLC, and Iridium Constellation LLC and their respective
FCC licenses and authorizations, from Iridium Holdings and Iridium Carrier Holdings to GHQ, a
U.S. special purpose acquisition company established for the purpose ofentering into a merger
or similar business combination with an operating company. These applications have been
pending for more than 180 days.
Prompt consideration ofthese applications is in the public interest as they will facilitate
the financing necessary to construct, launch and operate the next generation Iridium system to
continue its global mobile satellite service. The Iridium system is ofimportant economic
significance to governmental and private sector users, including constituents in the
Commonwealth ofVirginia.
