S2115SAT-AMD-20091221-00147 E Amendment 12/21/2009 11:39:45:49000Date Filed: Globalstar Licensee LLC Globalstar Licensee LLC has amended a pending application (SAT-MOD-20080904-00165) for modification of its operating license for 1.6/2.4 GHz MSS space stations. In this filing, Globalstar reports that its planned second-generation satellites will be registered with the International Telecommunication Union by the Republic of France, rather than the United States. Globalstar therefore amends the application to withdraw its request for launch and operating authority for second-generation satellites. Instead, Globalstar requests authority to continue to use its US-licensed first-generation satellites in the currently-authorized 1610-1618.725 MHz (Earth-to-space) and 2483.5-2500 MHz (space-to-Earth) frequency bands until these satellites are retired, and replaced by the second generation French-registered satellites.
