STATEMENT BY FCC COMMISSIONER MICHAEL J. COPPS 
ON THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE DEPARTURE OF COLIN CROWELL
“I want to express my gratitude to Colin Crowell for the contributions he has made here 
at the FCC as a member of Chairman Genachowski's office.  Colin brought a wealth of 
experience and good judgment to the Commission and an unrivaled understanding of 
telecommunications law and history gleaned from being an active participant in the fashioning of 
the statutes under which this Commission operates.  He has been a source of wisdom and good 
counsel during his months here and I know he will continue to contribute mightily to sound 
policy and the public interest in whatever he does next.  I wish him all good things on the road 
ahead.”
