Dear Chairman and Commissioners:
I am writing to urge you to render a decision on the application submitted by AT&T to
purchase wireless systems from Verizon Wireless that would serve 1.5 million customers in
mostly rural communities across 18 states, including parts ofGila and Pinal counties in Arizona,
where AT&T currently has little or no presence.
It is my understanding that AT&T filed its application on May 22, 2009, and the FCC
still has not rendered a final opinion. I ask that you review the matter and provide the entities
involved with a final decision in a timely fashion, as you would for other comparably situated
companies with business before the Commission,
Naturally, I neither request nor expect you or your colleagues to take any action that
would contravene applicable statutory and administrative guidelines. Thank you very much for
your attention to this matter,
