Consumer Empowcrment Agenda.
I am proud ofthe action thc Commission is taking to protect and empower American
consumers. One ofour most fundamental responsibilities is to ensure that consumcrs are fully
informed in the billing proccss and that thcy are charged only for services they have requested.
We continue to evaluate thc best ways in which to effcctively achicve these goals, including
through our August 2009 Notice ofInquiry and lhe recent Bill Shock NPRM.
