ON THE DEPARTURE OF COMMISSIONER BAKER
"Meredith Baker's announcement that she is leaving the Commission caught me, like 
many others, by surprise.  I have enjoyed working with Meredith both as a colleague at the FCC 
and when she led NTIA's efforts to facilitate our country's Digital Television Transition.  She 
brought to all her tasks creative thinking, practical good judgment and a warm, friendly 
demeanor. I join my colleagues in wishing her well in the years ahead."
