FCC CHAIRMAN JULIUS GENACHOWSKI TO OPEN FCC TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE 
CENTER, SHOWCASE INNOVATIVE MOBILE DEVICES & NEW TECHNOLOGIES
Washington, DC – On July 13, 2011, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius 
Genachowski will open the new FCC “Technology Experience Center” (TEC), an on-site technology 
center that will provide FCC employees and guests the opportunity to increase their understanding of new 
products and experience the latest communications devices at the forefront of the technology, broadcast, 
radio and mobile revolution. 
The unique center is an innovative resource for all FCC employees and visitors to engage directly with 
the latest technologies, which the agency accepts as donations. Each month, the FCC will spotlight 
technologies around a specific theme. This month’s theme is “Innovation & Spectrum.”
WHAT: Chairman Genachowski will make brief remarks and hold a ribbon-cutting. 
Representatives from 20 companies, including Comcast, DirecTV, GENBAND, 
Grooveshark, HTC, iBiquity, Lexis-Nexis, Livio Radio, Microsoft, Motorola, Open 
Mobile Video Coalition, Panasonic, Research in Motion, Sprint, Samsung, Sonos, 
Verizon and Verizon Wireless, will hold demonstrations.
