Dear Congresswoman Woolsey:
Thank you for your follow-up letter regarding the status ofan application to establish
new FM translator service in Lagunitas, California, that was submitted to the Commission by
West Marin Community Radio, Inc., for KWMR(FM) Point Reyes Station, California. I
appreciate your continued interest in this matter and want to assure you that the Commission will
resolve KWMR's translator application as expeditiously as possible.
Since I wrote to you in June, the Commission adopted a Third Further Notice of
Proposed Rulemaking to begin the process ofimplementing the Local Community Radio Act of
2010 (LCRA) - a necessary step before the pending FM translator applications can be resolved.
As you note, KWMR submitted comments in the rulemaking proceeding and the Commission
will carefully consider those comments, along with your letter, as part ofits review ofthe record.
