ofProposed Rulemaking (Further Notice), adopted July 12, 2011, to implement the Local
Community Radio Act of2010 (LCRA). I value your thoughts on this important proceeding,
and am pleased that the Commission has taken this big step toward implementing the LCRA.
Your letter will be included in the record ofthe proceeding and considered carefully.
I look forward to completing the implementation ofthe LCRA and arriving at the
moment when we can begin expanding LPFM opportunities for communities in all areas ofthe
country. Comment periods have closed and the Commission's Media Bureau staff is reviewing
the record. Please be assured that the Commission is committed to completing this part ofthe
proceeding as expeditiously as possible. The Commission soon will take additional action
required by the LCRA, to address technical issues - like spacing requirements - related to LPFM
serVIce.
