Our constituent, Broadcast Compliance Services, has proposed a new incentive to increase the diversity ofapplicants for positions at broadcast stations. Under its proposal, stations could win exemption from certain FCC administrative requirements if they broadened the scope of referral services used to advertise job openings. It's been more than one year since both ofour offices havll inquired iJ;lto the FCC Congressional Affairs office regarding the status of this proposal. At'thlit time, we wei'll told it remains under consideration. While we understand and appreciate the volurne of proposals submitted to the FCC, we respectfully request that you review the proposal from Broadcast Compliance Services and furnish the company as well as both of our offices with a written response as soon as possible.
