Dear Chairman Genachowski:
I wanted to write you regarding the proposed merger between T-Mobile USA and Metro
PCS to make sure that notwithstanding my recent correspondence with the Commission
regarding outsourcing, I wanted to be clear that as a general matter I favor transactions that
would help foster competition against dominant entities.
In the present instance, this may be the case because the current market appears to be
dominated by the two largest nationwide carriers, More vigorous competition fosters lower rates,
greater consumer service, increased'innovation, and more jobs. I am also encouraged by the fact
that a number of consumer groups have come out in support of the merger,
In addition, time and innovation have made it clear that access to the Internet is no longer
a luxury, but a necessity for the average American citizen, Given these factors, I would urge an
expeditious review, Thank you for your time and attention.
