FCC ANNOUNCES WEBINARS ON LOW POWER FM RADIO
Washington, D.C:  The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) today announced it will 
hold two webinars to answer questions about low power FM (LPFM) and the process for applying for a 
new LPFM license during the October 15 - October 29, 2013 open filing window.  The LPFM service 
was established in 2000 to create opportunities for new voices to be heard on the radio.
The first webinar will be held August 20th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Areas that will be covered 
include:  an overview of the low power radio service; how to use the Commission’s LPFM Channel 
Finder; instructions on creating a CDBS account; and how to fill out the application (Form 318), among 
others.  Details on the second webinar, to be held in early October, will be provided in a subsequent 
announcement.
The webinars will be broadcast live over the Internet at http://www.fcc.gov/live.  Presentations
will be available both during and after the sessions at www.fcc.gov/event as well as at 
http://www.fcc.gov/events/webinars-low-power-fm-radio.  Participants can submit questions by email 
during the webinars to lpfm@fcc.gov or by Twitter using the hashtag, #LPFMquestions.  As many 
questions as possible will be answered during the sessions.  Open captioning will be provided.
