BellSouth is proposing to align the payments available to customers who experience DS1 Special Access service outages with 
those available under the tariffs of the other AT&T ILECs for simplification and to avoid customer confusion.  For this purpose, a 
new Service Assurance Warranty (SAW) is being established that will provide a credit allowance to customers for service 
interruptions lasting 30 minutes or longer up to the combined monthly rates per affected service.  The existing Credit Allowance for

BellSouth is proposing to modify the Service Installation Guarantee for DS1 Special Access services to align it with tariffs of the 
Ameritech Operating Companies, Pacific Bell Telephone Company and Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.  For simplification
and to avoid customer confusion, this change provides that BellSouth would make payments of $350 per DS1 Special Access 
circuit, or the amount of the actual installation charge, whichever is less, to customers who experience a missed service date.
