Mr. Adkins' has 21 years of management experience in the telecommunications industry and he is well qualified for this important position. Prior to being named President of UPN, Mr. Adkins has held executive positions with companies such as Windstream, KDL, Level 3, TelCove, Conterra and KMC Telecom. He guided these companies through complicated negotiations and strategies involving fiber telecommunications services and broadband deployment in rural areas. Mr. Adkins will be well-positioned to share with the Advisory Committee his and UPN' s experience in broadband deployment and expansion and the impediments UPN encounters that delay the delivery of broadband to all Americans, particularly for rural Americans like many of my constituents in Missouri's Sixth Congressional District. I believe that Jason Adkins is well suited for this position and I request your full and fair consideration for his nomination. In addition, I would ask that you keep my office informed of the progress of your determination process and notify me when a decision regarding his nomination is made. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Josh Hurlbert in my Kansas City district office (816) 792-3976 or Josh.Hurlbert@mail.house.gov. PRINTED ON RECYCLED PAPER
