This report incorporates network outage data submitted by communications providers to the Federal Communications Commission’s Disaster Information Reporting System (DIRS). DIRS currently covers areas of Texas and Louisiana. Note that the operational status of communications services during a disaster may evolve rapidly, and this report represents a snapshot in time. The following 55 counties are in the current geographic area that is part of DIRS (the “disaster area”). There are a total of 7 (down from 11 yesterday) PSAPs affected (all but one from Texas). There are no PSAPs which are down without a re-route. Four PSAPs from yesterday were taken off the list: ? PSAP re-routed without ALI: Aransas County SO, TX; Port Aransas PD, TX; Refugio County SO, TX; and Vidor PD, TX. ? PSAP re-routed with ALI: Harris County Neutral SO, TX; Houston EC Training, TX; and West Columbia PD, TX. The following PSAPs were on yesterday’s list but are now fully operational: Calhoun County Sheriff, TX; Cameron Parish SO, LA; Chambers County SO, TX; and Port Lavaca PD, TX. Wireless Services The following section describes the status of wireless communications services and restoration in the disaster area, including the percentage of cell sites out of service for each county. Broadcast There are 9 (up from 5 yesterday) radio stations out of service: TX – K224EH, KHJK, K251AL, K255BB, K237FS, KFNC, KTXB, KKWV, and KAYK. Note that KXAI has been restored and removed from the list since yesterday, while KHJK, K251AL, K255BB, K237FS, and KTXB have been added. There are 2 (down from 3) TV stations out of service: TX -KFDM and KBTV, all in TX. KUQI has been restored and removed from the list since yesterday.
