Broadband deployment and expansion projects are essential to our economy and quality of life for all Americans. While OTMR could streamline the process of moving utilities and provide more broadband services, it must not be done at the expense of established labor contracts and safet'y>Ex'isting'Iirie workers are in the best position to reduce customer outages, have the rtetessarytraining to complete work safely, and ensure the work is done efficiently and correctly. Giving this task to subcontractors, who may not be properly trained, may lead to interruption in services and harm to existing equipment on utility poles. I urge you to consider these factors when making decisions regarding OTMR proposals, as expansion of fast and reliable Internet services and maintaining good paying jobs are essential to our country.
