First, Intelsat seeks to update the frequencies used by Galaxy 30 for its telemetry, tracking and control functions to the following: 6421.75 MHz, 6424.5 MHz (Earth-to-space); 4197.5 MHz, and 4198.5 MHz (space-to-Earth). Intelsat seeks to update the frequency bands used by Galaxy 30 for its Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) payload to the following: 6598.58 MHz-6618.58 MHz, 6649.73-6669.73 MHz (Earth-to-space), 1166.45-1186.45 MHz and 1565.42-1585.42 MHz (space-to-Earth). Intelsat also requests to change one of Galaxy 30's Ka-band frequencies to the 27.6-28.6 GHz band instead of the 27.5-28.6 GHz band. Intelsat requests authority to modify various technical aspects of Galaxy 30 by: (1) updating the maximum downlink effective isotropic radiated power in the 1559-1610 MHz and 1151-1214 MHz bands; (2) updating the bandwidth of the WAAS payload; (3) add a new uplink power control beacon at 4199.95 MHz; (4) updating the receiving C-band Channel 23 bandwidth to 43 MHz; and (5) updating the GXT/GIMS file for the C-band G/T uplink in the Schedule S. Intelsat requests a waiver of the U.S. Table of Allocations, Section 2.106, footnote NG52, in order for Galaxy 30 to utilize the 12.75-13.25 GHz band in the United States and its territories.
