Modification Granted in Part/ Deferred in Part Effective Date: 12/07/2020 Nature of Service: Mobile Satellite Service On December 7, 2020, the Satellite Division granted in part, with conditions, the request of Swarm Technologies, Inc. for modification of the license for its non-voice, non-geostationary, mobile-satellite service system. The Satellite Division authorized Swarm to make changes to technical specifications of up to 16 satellites, including the addition of a propulsion system. Swarm is authorized to operate using portions of the 137-138 MHz and 148-149.5 MHz frequency bands authorized in IBFS File No. SAT-LOA-20181221-00094 (granted in DA 19-1044 on Oct. 17, 2019). Special Temporary Authority Grant of Authority Effective Date: 12/10/2020 Nature of Service: Other On December 10, 2020, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority to Spaceflight, Inc. to operate a non-geostationary space station to be known as Sherpa-FX1, designed to deploy spacecraft in low Earth orbit. Spaceflight was granted authority for space operations communications with the Sherpa-FX1 for a period of 24 hours or less. The Sherpa-FX1 will operate as follows: inter-satellite transmissions to the Globalstar Satellite System using a signal with a center frequency of 1616.25 MHz and bandwidth of 2.5 MHz (space-to-space), reception of signals from the U.S. Global Positioning System in the 1227.60-1575.42 MHz frequency band (space-to-space), and reception of an uplink in the 2456-2478 MHz frequency band (Earth-to-space) (utilized to transmit cessation of communications command, if necessary). SAT-STA-20201008-00123 E S2154 Intelsat License LLC, as debtor-in-possession Special Temporary Authority Grant of Authority Effective Date: 12/04/2020 On December 4, 2020, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority for an additional period of 180 days, to Intelsat License LLC, as debtor-in-possession, to provide fixed-satellite service from the Galaxy 25 space station at the 32.9° E.L. orbital location. The Galaxy 25 space station will provide fixed-satellite service using the 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth) and 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands; and conduct telemetry, tracking, and command using the following center frequencies: 4195.5 MHz and 4199.5 MHz (space-to-Earth); and 5926.5 MHz and 6423.5 MHz (Earth-to-space). SAT-STA-20201130-00137 E S2462 Skynet Satellite Corporation Special Temporary Authority Grant of Authority Effective Date: 12/10/2020 On December 10, 2020, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, an extension of special temporary authority for a period of 30 days to Skynet Satellite Corporation to continue to operate Telstar 12 at the 109.2° W.L. orbital location with a ±0.10 degree east-west station-keeping tolerance. Telstar 12 is authorized to provide fixed-satellite service at the 109.2° W.L. orbital location using the 10.95-11.20 GHz and 11.45-11.7 GHz (space-to-Earth); and 13.75-14.0 GHz and 14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands.
