SAT-LOA-20210616-00080 E S3095 Umbra Lab Inc Date Filed: 06/16/2021 21:01:02:36600 Launch and Operating Authority Umbra Lab Inc. requests authority to construct, deploy, and operate six low-Earth orbit, non-geostationary satellites deployed to altitudes between 535 km and 595 km. The satellites would operate in the Earth-Exploration Satellite Service, conducting synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging. Umbra requests authority to operate in the following frequency bands: 9200-10400 MHz and 9300-9900 MHz for SAR imaging; 8025-8400 MHz (space-to-Earth) for the EESS downlink; 2025-2110 MHz (Earth-to-space) and 2200-2290 MHz (space-to-Earth) for space operations (tracking, telemetry, and command). Specifically, Umbra requests: to conduct SAR operations using center frequencies of 9800 MHz and 9600 MHz, with bandwidths of 1200 MHz and 600 MHz, respectively; to operate an EESS downlink using a center frequency of 8150 MHz with a bandwidth of 250 MHz; to operate a space operations downlink using a center frequency of 2254 MHz with a bandwidth of 0.1 MHz; and to operate a space operations uplink using a center frequency of 2080 MHz with a bandwidth of 0.1 MHz. Umbra requests waiver of the U.S. Table of Frequency Allocations, section 2.106 of the Commission's rules and requests a limited waiver of Section 25.114(c) of the Commission's rules, which requires certain information to be filed in the Schedule S.
