On Introduction of the Robocall Trace Back Enhancement Act

WASHINGTON, DC, December 8, 2021—Today, Senator John Thune and Senator Ed Markey introduced the Robocall Trace Back Enhancement Act.  FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr released the following statement: 

“I applaud Senator Thune and Senator Markey for their strong leadership and commitment to ending the scourge of unlawful robocalls.  Their bipartisan Robocall Trace Back Enhancement Act would ensure that the FCC’s registered traceback consortium has the liability protections needed to aggressively track and put an end to the unlawful robocalls that continue to plague Americans.  I look forward to continuing to work with members of Congress and my colleagues on this issue.”
