FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION WASHINGTON OFFICE OF THE CHAIRWOMAN December 30, 2021 Andrew D. Lipman Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP 1111 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20004 Andrew.Lipman@morganlewis.com Re: GN Docket No. 20-109 ITC-214-20010613-00346 ITC-214-20020716-00371 ITC-T/C-20070725-00285 Dear Mr. Lipman: I am responding to your letter to me dated December 20, 2021, on behalf of China Telecom (Americas) Corp. (CTA). I remind you that in its November 2 order revoking and terminating CTA’s authorizations to provide telecommunications services under section 214 of the Communications Act, the Commission “direct[ed] CTA to discontinue all services relating to its section 214 authority no later than sixty (60) days from the release date of this Order,” that is, January 3, 2022. Nov. 2 Order, ¶¶ 152, 157. See 47 C.F.R. 1.4. Your letter filed in this docket on December 29 asserts that CTA’s MVNO services “constitute” the extent of its common carrier services. The Commission expects CTA to comply fully with the terms of the November 2 order, and, under my direction, Commission staff will pursue all available remedies to ensure such compliance. Please direct any future correspondence to the Chief of International Bureau. Sincerely, Jessica Rosenworcel
