Federal Communications Commission DA 22-1180 RELEASED: NOVEMBER 30, 2022 OFFICE HOURS AVAILABLE TO ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT THE AFFORDABLE CONNECTIVITY OUTREACH GRANT PROGRAM APPLICATION PROCESS WC Docket No. 21-450 Washington, D.C. – The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau (CGB) will host a series of Office Hours to answer questions about aspects of the Affordable Connectivity Outreach Grant Program (ACP Outreach Grant Program) such as the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), application package, and application submission process. The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a $14.2 billion FCC benefit program that helps ensure that qualifying low-income households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare and more. The program, which has served more than 15 million households to date, plays an integral role in helping to bridge the broadband affordability gap. On November 10, 2022, the Commission released the ACP Outreach Grant Program NOFO to enlist trusted community messengers to develop innovative outreach strategies that reach historically unserved and underserved communities. These community partners will receive funding to increase participation among eligible, low-income households in need of an internet connection. The ACP Outreach Grant Program seeks to expand diverse outreach efforts nationwide and build partnerships that mobilize people and organizations to increase program awareness with the ultimate goal of increasing ACP enrollment.
