On January 10, 2001, the Commission released an order regarding Verizon Communications, Inc. ’s (Verizon) request to keep confidential certain audit information contained in Verizon’s final section 272( d) audit report. 1 The Commission directed that, unless Verizon sought a judicial stay of the decision within five working days of telephone notice of the decision, the “unredacted version of the final section 272( d) audit report be filed in this docket within ten days.” 2 Ten days after the decision was January 20, 2002 and the next Commission business day is January 22, 2002. Verizon has not sought a judicial stay of the Commission’s decision. Verizon has, however, filed a Petition for Reconsideration and Request for Stay with the Commission on January 15, 2002. 3 Three parties have filed comments on Verizon’s Petition for Reconsideration and Request for Stay. 4 In order to review these recent filings, we have decided to delay release of the audit report for ten business days. Absent any further action, we direct the independent auditor to file in this docket an unredacted version of the 272 audit report within ten business days of the release of this Order. 2. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED, pursuant to section 1.108 of the Commission's rules, 47 C. F. R. § 1. 108, that, absent further action, the independent auditor shall file an unredacted version of the 272 audit report within ten business days of the release of this Order.
