 By  the  Commission: 
 1.  On  July  17,  2002,  the  Wireline  Competition  Bureau  (the  Bureau)  released  an  order  that  suspended  for  five  months  and  set  for  investigation  Iowa  Telecommunications 
 Services,  Inc.  (Iowa  Telecom)  Tariff  FCC  No.  1,  Transmittal  No.  22.  1  This  transmittal  sought  to  reduce  from  30  days  to  15  days  the  period  of  notice  before  which  Iowa  Telecom  could 
 discontinue  providing  service  to  certain  customers  who  fail  to  pay  for  services  in  a  timely  manner.  The  revisions  also  would  allow  Iowa  Telecom  to  collect  security  deposits  not  only  from 
 an  existing  customer  who  has  a  proven  history  of  late  payments,  but  from  an  existing  customer  whose  gross  monthly  bills  increased  beyond  the  amount  initially  used  to  estimate  a  security 
 deposit  or  who  “represents  a  significant  financial  risk  based  on  objective  financial  standards.  .  .  .”  2  On  September  18,  2002,  the  Bureau  released  an  Order  designating  issues  for 
 investigation  addressing  the  Iowa  Telecom  transmittal.  3  Iowa  Telecom  withdrew  its  Transmittal  No.  22  on  October  15,  2002.  4  This  withdrawal  rendered  moot  the  investigation  of  the  Iowa 
 Telecom  tariff.  Accordingly,  we  terminate  the  investigation  of  that  tariff.
