Re:  In the Matter of General Motors Corporation and Hughes Electronics 
Corporation, Transferors, and the News Corporation Ltd., Transferee, for 
Authority to Transfer Control
In my earlier dissent, I concluded that the applicants had not carried their burden 
of proving that the potential public interest benefits of this transaction outweighed the 
real and potential harms of ever greater levels of media consolidation.  The National 
Hispanic Media Coalition raises many of these same concerns on reconsideration.  
Nothing in the majority’s perfunctory rejection of NHMC's Petition leads me to question 
my earlier judgment. I would have granted the Petition.
