ORDER

By the Commission:    
1. By this order, and pursuant to section 410(b) of the Communications Act of 1934, as 
amended (Communications Act), we hereby fill two vacancies created by previous departures from the 
Federal-State Joint Conference on Advanced Services (Joint Conference).1 The Joint Conference was 
convened in 1999 as part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to ensure that advanced services are 
deployed as rapidly as possible to all Americans and it serves as a forum for an ongoing dialogue among 
the Commission, state regulators, and local and regional entities regarding the deployment of advanced 
telecommunications capabilities.2 The Joint Conference is comprised of representatives from state public 
utility commissions and from the Federal Communications Commission.3  
2. Pursuant to section 410(b) of the Communications Act, the Commission hereby appoints the 
Honorable Robert M. Clayton, III, Chairman, Missouri Public Service Commission, and the Honorable 
Carlito P. Caliboso, Chairman, Hawaii Public Utilities Commission, to serve on the Joint 
Conference.4 These appointments fill the positions vacated by Rachelle Chong, Commissioner of the 
California Public Utilities Commission, and Michael Moffet, Commissioner of the Kansas Corporation 
Commission. The Commission gratefully acknowledges the important contributions of these individuals 
to the work of the Joint Conference.

4. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that, pursuant to section 410(b) of the Communications Act 
of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C. § 410(b),this order IS ADOPTED.
5. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that, pursuant to sections 1.103(a) and 1.4(b)(2) of the 
Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. §§ 1.103(a), 1.4(b)(2) this order SHALL BE EFFECTIVE upon release.
